London Rail and Underground to the Dungeon
Be afraid, be very afraid, well more convenienced really. The London Dungeon is a mere 100 metres from London Bridge Station: British Rail and London Underground (Northern and Jubilee Lines). 400 metres from Monument/Bank Station: Docklands Light Railway, London Underground (District Circle, Central and Northern Lines).
(If you really want a scare try walking against the human traffic over London Bridge at rush hour :) )

In the Victorian world order Albert had the world beneath him with Europe, Asia, Africa and America represented by marble figure at each corner. Above the world comes manufacture, commerce, agriculture and engineering. Above this you will see gilded bronze statues of the angels and virtues.

64 (83) Cleopatra's Needle
Cleopatra's Needle is an ancient Egyptian obelisk located on the Embankment close to the Embankment tube station. You will find the obelisk at Victoria Embankment on the north bank of the River Thames. Standing 18m (60 ft) tall The obelisk was originally erected at Heliopolis in Egypt around 1475BC. Two large bronze Sphinxes lie on either side of the Needle. These are Victorian versions of the traditional Egyptian original. The benches on the Embankment also have winged sphinxes on either side as their supports. Cleopatra has a sister and she resides in New York. You'll find her in Central Park.

Despite approaching two thousand years of age, remnants of the London Wall remain intact. The Museum of London has some of it in its grounds. More can be found in the Barbican Estate and around Tower Hill near the Tower of London. You can see all of the remains if you go on the "London Wall Walk". The walk's route is outlined a in booklet available from the Museum of London shop. If you are interested in the London Wall a visit to the Museum of London is recommended.
